To be a good poker player, you must know when to stop. You have to know
when you're getting tire, or when you are tilting.
Here are a few signs that you should look out for.
- You are falling asleep at the table or keyboard if you're playing online.
- You have played more than ten hours for the day, unless you're in a
tournament. WSOP session could last up to 12 hours. If you are playing
a tournament that has 12 hours sessions, then make sure you get some good
sleep before and afterwards.
- You find it harder to pay attention to your opponents.
- You are playing hands that you normally do not play.
- You are determined to break even after losing a lot.
- If you are on tilt.
If you notice any of those signs, just stop playing. You might start questioning
your own abilities and confidence. Everyone has their off days, even professional
poker players. Just remember that there is always another game tomorrow.
Stopping early will leave you with more money in your wallet for you to
come back another day to play.
